Holywell has a rich history stretching back over 1,000 years.
From the 7th Century to the industrial revolution, Holywell has been the site of many important events.
About us
This trail takes you through the town and explores this heritage, beginning in the high street and leading you through the Greenfield Valley before joining the ancient pilgrim’s trail to Basingwerk Abbey and St Winefride’s Well. Along the way, there are rich wildlife and lovely views—and plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy them!
