Mold Museum

Situated within the library on Earl Road, the Mold Museum traces the fascinating history of the market town of Mold.

About us

Treasures include bronze age axes, jewellery, and a replica of the Gold Cape, a unique and beautiful artifact, discovered in a tumulus on the outskirts of the town by workmen in 1867.

Displays include a reconstruction of the workshop and study of the town’s most famous son, novelist Daniel Owen, sometimes known as ‘The Welsh Dickens’. Just a short walk from the bus station and town centre car parks, admission to the museum is free.
