Spending time outdoors with children is not only a great way to keep them active and healthy, but it also provides countless opportunities for learning and exploration. Whether it’s a trip to the park, a walk through
the woods, sowing a seed patch, or making sandcastles on the beach, outdoor activities can be both fun and educational!

Here in Flintshire, we are blessed with a wide variety of outdoor spaces to enjoy. Take a trip to Wepre Park in Connahs Quay for its glorious woodland trails and children’s play areas, or perhaps visit Talacre beach, with its vast expanse of golden sands, sand dunes and iconic lighthouse. The Clwydian Range provides endless opportunities for walking and
cycling, and our many nature reserves offer the chance to get up close and personal with our fabulous flora and fauna.
