Caergwrle Castle

This ruined castle was built between 1278 – 83 by Dafydd ap Gruffudd, and is the last to have been built by a native Welsh prince. There is a waymarked path to the castle from the centre of the village, with a public car park just off the high street. 
Admission is free, and dogs on leads are welcome.
