Gronant Dunes
The Warren Beach
Forming part of the extensive dune system between Prestatyn and Talacre, Gronant Dunes is a designated SSSI (Site of
Special Scientific Interest) and is home to rare wildlife such as natterjack toads and sand lizards, and North Wales’ only
breeding colony of Little Terns.

About
Information boards among the dunes provide visitors with information about the area, and easily accessible raised
platforms offer extensive views of the Dee Estuary. In the winter months, vast numbers of wading birds and waterfowl
flock to the rich feeding grounds of the estuary, making it a popular spot for birdwatching.
Facilities include nearby parking and toilets, and dogs are also allowed on the beach all year around.
